4. HOW TO SEDU?

After you get your Sedu home, you really do need to be careful when using it on your hair. If done improperly you can damage your hair and make it look much worse than when you started. Here are a few tips on how to make sure your hair doesn't get damaged.

Pick the right setting. The Sedu heats up to over 400 degrees, which is nothing to mess around with. Make sure that you read the instructions to find the right setting for your hair type. The better condition your hair is in and the more resilient it is, the higher you can set the heat.

Start with dry hair. You can do this style with wet hair, but it is always better for your hair if you do as little as possible to it while it is wet. Wash and condition your hair first. Towel dry your locks a bit and then blow dry your hair.

Use a spray-on conditioner. No matter in how good of shape your hair is, you always need to have some type of protection between it and the iron. A good recommendation is Vo5's Miracle Mist, but your local salon will also have a wide range of hair care products for heat protection, some even have a spray for this type of style. Just spray it all over your hair before you blow dry and it will protect your hair from the heat.

After you have done all that, you can heat up your Sedu. It only takes 25 seconds to heat up before it is ready to be used. All you do now is just take a strand of hair and clamp the iron over it, starting at the roots, and pull it down towards the tips. Don't spend very much time in any one place on your hair, but just pull it down at an even pace. The more you do it, the more you'll know about how fast to pull and how long to leave it in one spot.

Continue to straighten all the strands until the entire head is done. It really doesn't take very long to do. And after you do it, the straight look will stay for the rest of the day. You can spray some shine spray on it to make it shinier, and some light hairspray if the day is particularly windy or wet, just to control stray hairs.
