4. BEYOND PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE

What else do you want to know? If you can't find the information you are looking for on television, on the radio, in magazines, on the Internet or in books, you may have to accept the fact that you may never know; unless you are in position of asking the celebrity themselves or even someone very close to them. If it's not already public knowledge, there's probably a reason for that. You could ask a question on the celebrity's website and hope for a reply, but don't hold your breath. While the person maintaining the website will answer your basic inquiries, anything that is too personal will probably go unanswered.

It is probably a good idea to point out that you should avoid following celebrities while they are in public or in their private lives. There have been many cases where simple infatuation has gone too far and the fan is arrested for stalking. Know the limits of information seeking from the start.

Due to the incredibly public life most celebrities lead, it is hard for them to stay out of the public eye and therefore avoid speculation, scrutiny, or infatuation. While this is ideal for information seekers, it can be horrible for the person. Many celebrities encounter moments that live in infamy because they are well publicized and follow them forever. Keep this in mind when you are researching your favorite celebrity. They are only human like the rest of us and mistakes are allowed. Happy celebrity hunting!
